Gemstone Care:

To preserve your gemstone beaded necklace, avoid swimming, showering, and exercising while wearing it. Water—especially chlorine and salt water—weakens threads, damages delicate beads, and erodes metal components. Remove jewelry before applying lotions, perfume, or sunscreen, as chemicals can fade colors and destroy the finish on stones.

PVD Care:

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) jewelry is highly durable, tarnish-resistant, and water-resistant, often lasting up to 10 years with proper care. Maintain its shine by cleaning regularly with mild soap and warm water, avoiding harsh chemicals, and storing pieces separately to prevent scratches.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Routine Cleaning: Gently wipe with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth after each wear to remove natural oils and buildup.

  • Deep Cleaning: Monthly, clean with warm water and mild dish soap.

  • What to Avoid: Do not use abrasive cleaners, jewelry polish, or alcohol-based products, as they can damage the coating.

  • Drying: Thoroughly dry with a soft cloth before storing to prevent moisture buildup.

Storage and Daily Care

  • Prevent Scratches: Store pieces individually in soft pouches or separate compartments in a jewelry box to prevent metal-on-metal scratching.

  • Avoid Chemical Exposure: Remove jewelry when applying perfumes, lotions, or hairspray.

  • Safe Handling: Put jewelry on last, and remove it before sleeping or engaging in intense physical activities.

Long-Term Durability Tips

  • Water Exposure: While PVD is often termed "waterproof," minimize prolonged exposure to saltwater or chlorinated water to maximize the life of the finish.

  • Avoid Friction: Try to avoid rubbing items against harsh, abrasive surfaces to preserve the coating, particularly on rings.

Metal Care:

To keep your piece looking it's best please remove before bathing, swimming or exercising. Avoid spraying perfumes, hairsprays or other chemicals as these may cause discoloration.
